The exhibition Gutapercha is the result of collecting nationally impactful news stories, such as the hunger strike of Mapuche prisoners prosecuted under anti-terrorism law, pharmacy strikes, robberies, and the rescue of the thirty-three miners. These stories are combined with nonsensical images recovered from other contexts through visual assemblage techniques, producing new meanings through collision and juxtaposition.
The exhibition consists of five large-scale fabric works created using monotype, woodcut, and frottage.
